The customer's basic expenditure is all mandatory outgoings on a monthly basis such as, utilities, phone bill, council tax, food or clothes shopping, TV License and travel to and from work.

The customer's regular expenditure is all outgoings that the customer must make on a monthly basis eg insurance, medical, dental cover, car service costs, MOT costs, equity loan, repayment vehicle etc.

The customer's expenditure that is neither a credit agreement, committed expenditure nor basic essential expenditure. Example: Ground rent and service charges.

Include any secured and unsecured loans to remain after completion. Exclude loans that will expire in the next 3 months and loans relating to BTL properties.

Self-employed

We prefer a minimum of 2 years' accounts at application but we will consider less than this, where 1 years trading or increasing/stable income enter latest years income only otherwise enter an average of the last two years. Where a company director owns 20% or more of the company shares, they will be classed as self-employed.
