We've had a significant increase to our recruitment

We've recently expanded our resources across the underwriting, new business and sales teams.

Underwriting growth

In January, we employed seven new experienced underwriters, and over the past few months a number of new underwriting assistants, processing team members and completions staff have joined. Since September last year, the new business team numbers have grown by an incredible 45%, with many of our staff remotely recruited and working across the UK. 

New starters and promotions in the sales team

We have boosted our sales team with a number of new starters and promotions for existing staff. In January alone, we brought two new Internal BDMs on board and a new sales support team member, while two of our IBDMs, David Wheatley (London) and Patrick Ogrigri (South Central) have been promoted to the role of Regional Account Managers.

A change in marketing

Sarah Wade was also promoted to Head of Marketing, with responsibility for driving our marketing in 2021 and beyond.

The new recruitment means that, by the end of January, the total headcount will be up 17% versus the same point last year.

The ongoing recruitment drive is designed to ensure we have the resources required to deal not only with an anticipated busy first quarter – specifically in ensuring cases complete before the end of the stamp duty holiday in March – but to allow us to meet our ambitious new business and lending targets in 2021 and beyond, and to provide a much smoother process for you and your clients.
